We’ve implemented it on several blogs of ours. One good example is the blog The World of Modern Men where I am using it as a Wordpress Shout Box.

Although this is in fact a Tumblelogging plug-in, I’m using it more as a Micro Blogging plugin. Micro Blogging is only text were Tumblelogging is text combined with Multi-Media.
